Aphrodite Waterpark

Located in Yeroskipou, this exhilarating waterpark offers a variety of thrilling slides, splash pools, and other attractions that are perfect for both kids and adults

While bringing outside food is a no-go, you’ll find several eateries and snack stalls within the park serving up tasty food and refreshing drinks, including a kosher food stand.

For those arriving by car, there’s convenient outdoor parking available. Alternatively, there’s a direct bus route departing every 15 minutes from the harbour bus station.

The waterpark welcomes guests from April to October, with tickets valid for the entire season.

Pafos Luna Park

Pafos Luna Park sits just a short stroll away from the water park and hotel strip.

Though it’s not the biggest spot, there are loads for kids to dive into, from bumper cars and a choo-choo train to classic carousels and bouncy castles.

For the older crowd, there’s plenty to keep you entertained, too, like a 360° swing, a pirate ship, a (small) roller coaster, a Ferris wheel, and even a bungee jumping area.

Keep in mind that while admission is free, you’ll need to purchase tokens to hop on the rides. These usually go for around 1 euro each, with most rides needing 3-4 tokens.

And if you’re in the mood for a birthday bash, the park has everything you need, including an on-site restaurant offering delicious nuggets, chips, souvlaki, and more.

Opening Hours
Monday to Sunday: 16:00-23:00 (unless it’s raining, then it’s closed)

Paphos Zoo

Paphos Zoo is found in the town of Pegeia, about a 20-minute drive away from Paphos itself.

You’ll want to dedicate at least half a day here, so you can catch the main parrot and owl show and explore the reptile house, which houses a diverse range of lizards and venomous snakes.

Other than that, there’s a small playground to keep the little ones entertained, a restaurant offering a kid-friendly menu, and stalls serving snacks and drinks during peak tourist seasons.

The zoo welcomes visitors year-round, and you can easily drive there or opt for tickets that include transportation from your hotel.

Opening Hours
November to March: 9:00-17:00
April to July: 9:00-18:00

A bit too much, if you ask us.

The park welcomes visitors most of the year, except for the chilly months of January and February.

Jolly Roger Pirate Cruise

Another fun attraction, which we can safely say is a big hit among kids up to age 10, is the Pirate Ship Cruise (also known as Jolly Roger).

The excursion lasts about 4 hours and includes a variety of activities such as face painting, a pirate show, a buffet-style lunch with soft drinks, and a refreshing swim in the sea.

Keep in mind that spaces on the ship are limited, so it’s important to book tickets in advance!

The cruise mostly operates during the summer months and departs from Paphos Harbor several times a week, usually in the morning.

Best Family-Friendly Hotels in Paphos

Paphos has plenty of good hotels for families. Here are a few of our favorites:

  • Leonardo Cypria Bay – One of the most popular all-inclusive hotels in Paphos (and also our first hotel here), featuring a mini water park and a small playground.
  • Louis Phaethon Beach – A 4-star hotel with a lovely water park and restaurants with special menus for kids. Plus, it’s conveniently placed close to the Luna Park and the mini-golf course.
  • Mayfair Hotel – While relatively affordable, don’t let that fool you. The hotel boasts a small (yet enjoyable) water park, a kids’ playroom, and entertainment team.
  • Olympic Lagoon Resort – This all-inclusive, 5-star hotel offers five separate pools for adults and children, a teen club equipped with video games, as well as movie and disco nights for the little ones
