Paphos Buses

paphos buses

In Cyprus, unlike many European countries, you won’t come across any trains or trams. Instead, the entire public transport system relies solely on buses.

So, if you’ve decided not to rent a car, buses are probably the best way to get around here!

The private company that took over Paphos buses in 2010 is called OSYPA, recognizable by its fleet of distinctive blue buses.

Here’s what we think about their service, including insights into the main routes and stops within Paphos, as well as details regarding ticketing options and prices.

What is public transport like in Paphos?

Overall, buses in Paphos are both convenient and affordable, offering extensive coverage to nearly every destination worth exploring.

In fact, numerous bus routes are even extending to various villages within the Paphos district!

If you’re planning to visit popular spots such as the scenic promenade, the charming Old Town, the exhilarating waterpark, and the bustling Kings Avenue Mall, getting around is quite easy from pretty much anywhere in the city.

That being said, it’s important to note that while the buses are relatively modern, some of them may not be very well maintained.

Therefore, don’t be surprised by the occasional stuck bus door or minor rattling during the ride

Nevertheless, navigating within Paphos and its outskirts using buses is a viable option and often more economical than relying solely on taxis.

Primary Bus Routes in Paphos

Starting February 26, 2024, the temporary Harbour station will no longer operate from its current location. These are the new routes and timetables.
