When you hear the name ‘The Little Fisherman,’ you might think of a busy fish market or a seafood restaurant.
But in Paphos, it actually means something entirely different.
The Little Fisherman is a bronze sculpture created by the talented local artist Yiota Ioannidou.
Besides this one, you can also check out her other works, like ‘Sol Alter’ near Paphos Castle and ‘The Girl and the Sparrow’ by the Old Town Market.
Now, back to our bronze buddy.
You’ll find this sculpture right by the waterfront on a small pier along Paphos Promenade, not far from Ta Mpania restaurant.
It shows a boy holding a large fish behind his back, which, as you can imagine, isn’t exactly hidden!
While the story behind it might be a bit of a mystery, one thing’s clear: it’s a great spot for a photo, especially at sunset.
You’ll get that dreamy golden hour glow, and chances are, you’ll see a few fellow tourists trying to get the perfect shot, too.

How to Get to The Little Fisherman
Bus
To get to Paphos Harbour Main Bus Station, take bus route 611 from the Tombs of the Kings Main Bus Station, route 610 from the Municipal Market, or route 606 from Yerouskipou.
From there, it’s about a 5-minute walk to The Little Fisherman sculpture.
Taxi
A taxi from Paphos to the harbour typically costs 10-12 euros, while a ride from Yeroskipou or Chloraka is usually 12-15 euros.
Car
In case you have a car, you can find free parking inside the harbour, and there are usually free spaces available on the street as well.
