Our Sunset BBQ Cruise
We went on the Sunset BBQ Cruise in October 2024. At that time of year, it wasn’t too crowded, so we had no trouble finding sunbeds.
The yacht left at 17:30, with the host performing ‘Purple Rain’ and other hits as we sailed
Unfortunately, the volume was too loud, and the fuel smell was a little overwhelming at first. Not the best start, but hey, it’s all part of the adventure, right?
The sunset views, on the other hand, were absolutely gorgeous!
Quick tip: If you’re planning to go during the off-season, make sure to bring a jacket. It gets pretty cold once the sun goes down.
Around 19:30, the food started coming out, so we found a table and settled in.
No menu here, just a buffet with feta salad, chicken souvlaki, cod fish, baked potatoes, pita bread, hummus dip, and a few other things.
The dishes were okay. Not bad, but nothing to write home about.
However, despite our dietary restrictions, the captain was really helpful and made sure to bring us alternative options.
That said, keep in mind that drinks aren’t included in the price and can get quite expensive (unless you opt for an all-inclusive cruise).
Full and satisfied, we asked the staff for a couple of blankets and headed back to the deck to see the show.
This was, hands down, the best part of the cruise!
The aerial and musical performances were so much fun to watch, and we even got up to dance before returning to the harbour at 21:00.
While this cruise wasn’t exactly what we expected, we still think it was worthwhile. Looking back, it probably would’ve been better with fireworks!
