Cyprus is a beach lover’s paradise, offering stunning coastlines, crystal-clear waters, and exciting water sports activities.

Here’s a quick guide to some of the best beaches in Paphos.

What Are the Best Beaches in Paphos?

Blue Lagoon

blue lagoon paphos

While Blue Lagoon isn’t technically a beach, this beautiful bay in Akamas Peninsula is perfect for swimming and snorkeling.

Simply head to Latchi Harbour, either by car or bus, and jump on one of the boats that will take you there.

Or, you could join this tour, which stops at Aphrodite’s Bath and other interesting places, too.

Venus Beach

Venus Beach is probably our favorite beach in Paphos.

This beach near Venus Hotel features soft sand and calm waters (thank you, breakwaters!), and has sunbeds and umbrellas for rent at 2.5 euros each.

There’s also an ice cream truck parked inside, alongside showers and portable toilets.

Additionally, it has plenty of free parking, and the bus station isn’t far away, with route 615 stopping there every 10-15 minutes.

Ricco’s Beach

Ricco’s Beach (or Geroskipou Municipal Beach) is another great spot.

This large sandy beach is very well-equipped and conveniently close to several bars (including Ricco’s Beach Bar), restaurants, and other attractions.

For those driving, there’s a free parking area. Otherwise, use bus route 606 from the main harbour station.

Aphrodite’s Beach

aphrodites beach

Aphrodite’s Beach is best known for Aphrodite Rock, traditionally believed to be the birthplace of the Greek goddess Aphrodite.

This beach is located between Paphos and Limassol but is quite rocky, so you might want to bring slippers.

Although there are no facilities on it, you’ll find toilets and showers by the kiosk across the road.

Feel free to drive there yourself (don’t worry, parking is free), or catch bus route 631 from the harbour.

Coral Bay Beach

Coral Bay Beach is one of the most popular and picturesque beaches in Paphos district.

This beach provides golden sand, water sports, and even a bar and an ice cream van. But keep in mind that it can get a bit crowded, especially during summer.

If you’re using public transport, take bus route 615, which stops right at the free car park.

SODAP Beach is a charming little beach in Kato Paphos, next to Amavi Hotel and Antasia Restaurant.

This municipal beach is mostly sandy, with sunbeds and umbrellas available for 5 euros, as well as restrooms and changing rooms.

There’s also a free car park nearby, and you can easily get there by bus—just hop on route 611, which runs along Poseidon Avenue.

Latsi Beach

Latsi Beach is a good option if you’re staying in Polis or at Anassa Hotel.

This lovely beach is a mix of sand and pebbles and has emerald-colored water and gorgeous mountain views. Plus, there aren’t usually many people around, so it’s pretty quiet.

However, to get there from Paphos, you’ll have to drive or change buses a few times.
